Secretary’s
Minutes - Minutes from the April 8, 2008 meeting were
approved as published.
Treasurer’s
Report – Income for April was $6,921.71. Contributions
totaled $723.61; sales were $2,139.65; event income was $4,052.00;
bank dividends totaled $6.45.
The breakdown for
actual expenses and purchases for April is as follows: general
expenses - $1,672.35, event expenses - $3,508.79, taxes - $720.10,
literature purchases - $1,435.77.
The balance in the
general checking and savings accounts as of April 30, 2008 was
$10,700.24. Of this balance, liabilities total $1,251.47 and $2,000
is budgeted for May expenses. This leaves a remaining balance of
$7,448.77. The balance in the events account is $300.70.
A copy of the Profit &
Loss report was available for the reps to share with their groups. –

Office Manager’s
Report – Call counts for April were: 8 – 12 Step,
249 – information, 2 – Alanon/Alateen. There were 103
visitors.
Due to a leak in the
bathroom, our owner has purchased and installed a new toilet. We
need afternoon volunteers June 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, and 11 while I am
visiting my daughter and grandchildren in Florida. Call or see me
for more information.
Please turn in events
and first name, last initial, and sobriety date for anyone you would
like to include in the newsletter birthday list. They should be
turned in by the 15th of the preceding month. – Jan

Telephone Chair
Report –The phone rotation is running smoothly. Anyone
who would like to volunteer to pick up extra shifts, please call
Jesse at (309) 236-5576 or Jan at the office (309) 764-1016. One
year sobriety is recommended. Thanks to all our existing volunteers!

Newsletter
– Things are going well with the newsletter. Please turn in
flyers by the 15th of the preceding month. The cost is
$5.00 per month. - Lisa W., Newsletter Chair
Events: -
A copy of the income report for the Annual Intergroup Event was
provided. There was a profit of $2,296.13. Pat S. has volunteered
to help with the golf outing. We are planning for a July weekend at
Duck Creek Park. - Karen K., Event Chair

Old Business
–
A motion was made “To
hire Stewart Nordeen to provide lawn service at a cost of $12.00 per
visit.” All were in favor. The motion passed.
New Business
– The Chairperson, Ben D., requested that a committee be formed
to review the current Intergroup By-Laws. Dee R. will be the
chairperson for this committee.
Additional
Discussion – There was discussion about attendance at
the monthly Intergroup business meetings. The Chairperson will
contact members who miss meetings to discuss possible solutions.

Bettendorf Group
–Our anniversary was a success. Thank you to everyone that
helped. Our picnic will be September 7th – more
details will follow next month.
