Office manager's Report: With the holiday season upon us, I would ask that all groups that have events or are open, please e-mail or call the office with that information. I got several calls the day before Thanksgiving asking me what groups were open and what times, and I felt bad that I didn't know what to tell them as not one group notified this office of any holiday schedules. It is a hard time for people who have nowhere to go so it is important to help them. Thanks! Things are moving along in the office for the move- our regular weekly volunteers have been a great help in organizing and packing things. I would also like to thank everyone else who brought boxes and help sort and dispose of things. The office was broken into on November 18th after hours. The pop money (less than $10) and petty cash (about$45-50) was taken. Nothing else was disturbed but the locks on the door were broken-later repaired by the landlord.  We are looking for volunteers to cover both mornings and periodically, afternoons. Please contact me at the office for training if interested.  Call counts for the month were 8 12-step, 143 information, 46 visitors, 2 Alanon and 1 speaker request.  I received a thank-you note last month from a woman in Oregon who had called our office looking for some meetings while she and her husband were in town. She was very grateful to our volunteers Jerome who directed them to a meeting, and Weezie who met them there, and grateful that we were here to take her phone call and help an alcoholic in need.  I called both Julie at the Legion to let her know we were not holding the Anniversary Event there this year and Stewart who took care of our yard work to thank them for their service and let them know that we were moving. Both of them have been very good to us over the years. Please remember to have birthdays and special events turned in to the office by the 15th of the preceding month for inclusion in the newsletter. Thanks!  In love and service,  Lisa W.

Telephone chair: The Intergroup phone rotation has all openings filled at the present time and the backup list has only five people on it. We would like to have more names if possible of people that are interested in helping with the phones. Any sponsors that know of people that they could recommend for the phone list, they would be very much appreciated and badly needed. Please have them call the Intergroup office and talk to Lisa, or call me Bob S. at 563-349-1878.  We will help get them in to service or on the list. In love& service, Robert S.

Newsletter report: The newsletter went out November 23rd before all business meetings. This month the 87 newsletters cost $44.69 to print and $39.96 to mail ($1.00 per newsletter). Remember that each flyer pays $7 to be in the issue. I forgot that each District pays $7 for their minutes. I will re-evaluate costs to produce. All groups receive a complimentary copy and we have approximately 60 subscriptions at $13/yr or $1.08/month. As always, if you would like to submit an article, e-mail it to  shell@mchsi.com

Bettendorf: All is well at the Bettendorf group and our meetings are well attended. We had our elections for the 2012 yr and all the positions are filled. Bettendorf will also be open on Christmas day Dec. 25th Sun. 8:00am and will be open on New Years day Jan. 1 Sun. 8:00am. They'll be open meetings!  Merry Christmas and happy holidays  Karen K.

Marquette Group is having a Christmas Eve meeting at midnight (12:01am Christmas Day 12-25-11). Steve K.

Courage to Change: The meetings are going very well. We're all looking forward to serving in our new positions.

We are moving this Sat.  Do not use stairs to get to the new office – take the elevator inside to Suite 201.   Question on Newsletter regarding renewal process.  It was explained that the label is highlighted when the member needs to renew.  If they do not renew within the next couple months, then they are dropped from the list.  The office manager monitors the renewal and subscription lists.  Question for Treasurer on discrepancies in report and balance sheet with regard to the amount of income reported.  The treasurer and Office manager explained the discrepancy is due to the costing of costs of goods sold. District 9 Liaison position is vacant.  It was reported that the committee was disappointed that only three Intergroup board members attended the ISCYPAA event at House group on December 3rd.  The event raised $150 for Intergroup. Jamey C. won the donated newsletter subscription.

Special Committee reports:  Moving Committee reported that everything is moving along.  We have the keys and a key box will be located in the hall way across from the door with a combination for the volunteers to be able to open the office.  Internet will be hooked up this week through Mediacom.  Unfortunately our current provider, Network Business Systems could not provide service at the new location.  The cost for internet is $59.95 a month with no installation charges or tax.  Although two volunteers, one on alternating Fridays and one backup, will not be able to continue at the new location due to transportation, the remaining volunteers will continue to serve at the new location. The office could use more help because one volunteer is working two days and needs to reduce to one.  Please contact Lisa to volunteer.  Moving day is
Saturday December 10th at 8:00 a.m.  Thanks to everyone for helping! Old Business: none New Business: ISCYPAA is holding a Free event on Saturday December 10th at 6:00 p.m. at RICCA. In love and service, respectfully submitted, Joni K., secretary
