Illowa Intergroup Minutes
December 3, 2007

The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson at 6:00pm., followed by the serenity prayer. The minutes were approved.
Officers Present: Chairperson, Alt Chairperson, Secretary
Chairpersons Present: Newsletter, District 9, District 90, and Events
Groups Present: Big Book Study, Foxhall, Milan, Primary Purpose, Last Chance, Central Discussion, Bettendorf, North West and North Scott
Treasurer’s Report: Income for the month was $2431.25. Contributions totaled $695.50; sales were $1728.78; Events $0.00: Bank Dividends $ 6.97. The breakdown of actual expenses and purchases for the month is as follows: General Expenses $1606.54: Taxes $0.00; Event Expenses $0.00 and literature purchases $1768.00 and Website $56.32. The balance in the general account and savings accounts as of November 30, 2007 is $8686.18 .Of this balance liabilities total $1467.81 and $1500.00 is budgeted for December expenses. This leaves a remaining balance of $5718.37.
Office Managers Report: Call counts for November were 10 12-step, 151 information alanon/Alateen, and 48 visitors. Thanks to so many of you for your concern and prayers the last three months during my mother's illness. I will be visiting my daughter and family December 7-17 for an early Christmas. I will be back in the office the 18th.
Thank you to Dawn and Monica for putting up our Christmas decorations. We need a Thursday morning volunteer to work in the office from 9-12:30, and we occasionally need volunteers to work other mornings. Please call me if you can help. Continue turning in AA birthdays for the newsletter. .
Telephone Chair: There is now a new co-chair for the intergroup phones. Jesse N. has accepted the position and will start his duties this month. We are looking for volunteers on the 3rd Friday and 4th Tuesday of the month.
Newsletter: all is going well. Please send any flyers you would like printed. They are $5 per month for a full page. They are due by the 15th of the month to be included for the next month.
Events the Intergroup event will be April 19, 2008 @ the American Legion in Moline.

Unfinished Business:
  1. The officers met and have decided not to form a committee regarding Office Manager Annual Performance Salary Increase
  2. IRS no new updates.
New Business:
  1. Monthly report for the tax stuff……. Susan F.
  2. Suggestion to send letter to groups and ask for special assessment…… Susan F
  3. Establish a slush fund for Office Manager raise next year…….. Susan F
  4. Phone book placement……. Joann N.
  5. In January formulate nominating committee
Group Reports: Bettendorf elections were held Nov 21. The room will be decorated after the 10am meeting and need volunteers to help. The room will be open on Christmas and New Years Day. Central Discussion all is going well, they have many meetings weekly. Smoking and non smoking, mornings, afternoons and evenings.
