DCM Report:  I attended the August 13th Summer Committee Meeting in LaFox.  In addition to the regular business, there was a sharing session about Area service and its responsibilities given by current members of the Committee, in preparation for the upcoming Fall Election Assembly hosted by us here in District 90.  After the meeting, those of us attending were able to pick up sound equipment, coffee pots, and other items needed to facilitate this event.  I also met with the Report & Charter Committee as we usually do at these functions to save on travel expenses for those on the Committee.  This has also had the benefit of saving our District mileage reimbursement for most of my trips to Area functions.  There was discussion about the pros and cons of having combined Assemblies and Conferences and a motion to include the Twelve Concepts into the "Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions" book.  We have copies of the current Group contribution sheets and would like to remind everyone that in keeping with our Seventh Tradition, we need to support the Area, District and Intergroup to ensure we can continue to provide help to those who reach out to us.  That is our Primary Purpose.  Please remember that we need Members and Groups to contribute desserts for the Fall Assembly lunch.

Treasurer’s Report:  Income for August $15.12 versus expenses $39.25.  Total balance of accounts at end of August $1528.57.

Committee Reports:  Correctional Facilities:  Looking into books for the Illinois Youth Center.  Treatment Facilities:  In-patients and out-patients at Riverside are very receptive to the Bridging The Gap program.  We have now had a total of 88 requests for assistance with BTG. This includes Riverside (both in-patient and out-patient) and Good Shepherd in Geneseo, although we have only been to Good Shepherd one time which was back in March.  Things are a little slow with finding more temporary contacts for Bridging The Gap. We are always in need of people to help take newcomers to their first few meetings. All it takes is a willingness and some quality sobriety. If interested please contact Darcy @ 309-230-6119 or Weezie @ 309-631-3830.  Please help give back what was so freely given to you.  I have requested a case of big books and literature from Area. Big books will be distributed among Riverside and Stutsman Lodge.  Grapevine:  Giving old Grapevines to House Group for beginner packets.    Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC):  Absent.  Public Information (PI):  Vacant.  Literature:  Vacant.  Special Needs:  Meetings at Forest Hills have gotten smaller, but the social director would still like them to continue.  Intergroup Liaison:  Intergroup softball tournament Saturday 10/ 1 at Coal Valley park, flyer or info to follow.  Host Committee Chair report (Randy F):  Preparing for 9/17 NIA Election Assembly at the Faith Walk World Outreach Center.  Volunteer set-up times 5:30pm Friday 9/16, 7am Saturday 9/17.

GSR Reports:  Henry County (Kewanee):  All is well, self-supporting, well attended.  Last Chance:  Women's meeting on Sundays at 12:30pm, this is a Big Book and 12x12 meeting.  Group conscience voted that all pass-it-on money ($60.00) will be sent to Intergroup for the next 3 months, until the next business meeting is held.  New Beginnings:  Will be getting a new GSR as the current one is relocating to Rockford.  Picnic with ARM on Saturday 9/10.  Milan Hillcrest:  Monday 5pm and Tuesday 5:30pm meetings discontinued.  New meeting Tuesday 8am.  Wednesday meetings at noon, 5:30pm and 8pm, all Big Book meetings.  Thursday meetings at noon, 5:30pm and 8pm, all Step meetings.  Elections coming up in October.  Geneseo:  Not much new, elections at the end of the month.

Old Business:  Open District positions Treasurer (Jesse N, acting), Literature and Public Information.  Discussion about disbursement of excess funds at the end of 2011, decided to give 50% to Intergroup, 50% to treatment and/or correction centers in the form of Grapevine subscriptions.

New Business:  Our Primary Purpose to host next District meeting.  District 90 elections coming up in October, all positions will be open.
