DCM Report:  I would first like to offer my deepest appreciation to everyone who took part in making the 2011 Area 20 Fall Election Assembly a complete success.  As I have been all during my rotation as DCM, I am very proud to be a part of District 90 and its effort to achieve our primary purpose.  I have received nothing but positive feedback from those who attended.  Thank you all.  All Area positions were filled with the exception of Alt. Answering Service and Alt. Archives.  If you would like to become involved in service at the Area level, please consider standing for one of these positions.  I have copies of the list of those elected, and a few copies of the results of the Area inventory available.  As we will have our Dist. 90 elections at the November meeting, I hope everyone is thinking about stepping up to serve and also talking to those in your groups about the same.  I plan to attend the NIA 20 Fall Committee Meeting in LaFox on the 22nd.  We can arrange car pools for anyone that wishes to be there.

Treasurer’s Report:  Income for September $75.12 versus expenses $116.35.  Total balance of accounts at end of September $1517.34.

Committee Reports:  Correctional Facilities:  Absent.  Treatment Facilities:  We have made it to 100 people requesting our services for Bridging the Gap.  Thanks to all the Temporary Contacts that have made it possible.  Last month I had the chance to travel to Iowa City and speak to the U. of Iowa hospital treatment program.  I also met with a lady and discussed the BTG program, what worked and did not work when starting the program.  They are very interested in getting the program in place.  Also last month I received a case of hardback big books and 500 pieces of literature from Kelly, our Area Treatment Facilities Chairperson.  This is a direct result of the proposal and voting that was done on June 18th at our Assembly in Rockford.  These books will be divided between Stutsman Lodge, Riverside Retreat and Douglas Park Place.  I am looking for gently used AA books that can be donated for a program that Raul has at Riverside.  What he does is say a quote out of the big book and ask the clients to find it.  Whoever finds the quote is awarded with a book relevant to AA.  I think it is a great way to get the people into the book.  Please contact me at 309-631-3830 or Raul at Riverside.  I have been in contact with Mary Engholm from RICCA - she is interested in welcome packets for the outpatients.  Grapevine:  Went to the Regional Forum hosted by District 9 and picked up copies of Grapevine subscription price cards, Grapevine pamphlet, and new combined catalog with Grapevine and GSC-approved literature.    Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC):  Absent.  Public Information (PI):  Vacant.  Literature:  Vacant.  Special Needs:  The Forest Hills meetings are on hold for October due to low occupancy.  Spoke with the social worker, she thinks more people will be moving in that would benefit from meetings.  I will check with her at the end of the month.  Intergroup Liaison:  Absent.  Host Committee Chair report (Randy F):  Thanks to all who volunteered to make the Area Election Assembly a success.

GSR Reports:  Last Chance:  Attendance at meetings has been good.  The women's big book study at 12:30 on Sundays could use support.  Next business meeting will be held in November.  (Submitted for Jen W.)  Our Primary Purpose:  Group will be staying put, no need to find a new location.  Elections coming up October 23.  Geneseo:  New GSR Larry B.  Considering Saturday night meeting, considering moving Monday evening meeting from 8 to 7.  Attendance down, expected to go up in winter.

Old Business:  ALL District positions open for elections in November.  Need to discuss details of end-of-term excess funds disbursement.

New Business:  Our Primary Purpose to host next District meeting, later changed to Silvis Public Library due to scheduling conflict.  December meeting to be held at Deerfield Family Restaurant, Silvis.
