DCM Report: I attended the Fall Assembly. Results of the motions were printed in the minutes of the last district meeting. I attended the Fall Event and had lots of fun. I have the NIA election results if anyone wants to see them. I will be attending the Big Book Conference in Elgin on Saturday. The area committee meeting is on the 17th and I will be attending. The Al-Anon State Conference is the weekend of 23-25 in Rosemont. I will be the AA speaker on Saturday afternoon. The Winter Assembly is December 11 in La Fox. (Tammy D.)
Treasurer’s Report: Expenses for September were $299.25 versus revenue of $191.00 for a deficit of $98.25 Total Balance of accounts at end of August was $2053.42 Total income from the Fall Event was $276.00 versus expenses of $202.84 for a profit of $73.16. There were questions regarding the accounting of district funds for the reimbursement for travel expenses to the upcoming Regional Forum. More will be revealed. Funds for Forum travel will be available at the next district meeting. (Terry W.)
Committee Reports:
Correctional Facilities: absent. Treatment Facilities: no report. Grapevine: no report. Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC): no report. Public Information (PI): no report. Literature: Really quiet., Special Needs: absent. Intergroup Liaison: There are two slots available on the phone rotation – the 1st Wednesday evening shift (5:30 pm to 9 am) and the 4th Sunday (9 am to 5:30 pm). If anyone is available please contact Mel M. or call the Intergroup Office at 309-764-1016. The 36th Intergroup Anniversary dinner/dance will be held on April 24, 2010 at the Moline American Legion. Tickets will be $20.00. The positions of Newsletter Chair and District 90 Liaison are still open. If anyone is interested please contact the office or attend the next Intergroup meeting on November 2nd. (Dee R.)
Henry County Group: We have added a Friday noon meeting and our Big Book Study on Sunday at 6:30 is well attended. Our 35th Anniversary Celebration at Frances Park was a huge success. We hold elections in November. (Alan H.) Geneseo Group: Some members of the Geneseo group along with the Henry County Group in Kewanee will host a speaker and dinner event on February 20, 2010 in Kewanee. The speakers are from Chicago. The costs are $15.00 for dinner and speakers, $5.00 for speakers only. (Joe R.) Our Primary Purpose Meeting: Debbie was elected as Alt. Intergroup Representative. The other elections will be held October 25. 2009. (Randy F.) Last Chance Group: no report. (Kris O.) Milan Hillcrest Group: Picnic had good turnout. 40th Anniversary Dinner will be held March 10, 2010. (Mary L.)
Fall Event: Everybody had fun, thanks for coming. After crunching the numbers it seems we made a profit.
Old Business: Promote interest in bus trip to International Convention in San Antonio next July.
New Business: District election results: With no more than one person available for all positions, all were elected by acclamation. DCM – Butch W. nominated, he declined. Alt. DCM – Bruce M available. Treasurer – nobody available. Secretary – Jesse N. available. Grapevine – nobody available. PI – Jesse N. available. CPC – Jon B. available. We will continue elections next month to fill the positions of DCM, Treasurer and Grapevine
