DCM Report:  I attended the NIA 20 Fall Committee Meeting in LaFox on October 22nd.  In addition to the normal business conducted, there were several motions that will come before the Winter Assembly on December 10th in Elgin, IL.  There are copies of those motions including background information available.  Please share these with your groups for input on anything they might like us to take back to the Area.  There has also been a great deal of discussion as to whether or not to have Assemblies as a part of Conferences.  This will continue to be a hot button issue for some time.  I also had a chance to meet with the Report and Charter Committee that both Terry and I serve on at Area 20.  As our rotation of positions here at District 90 is winding down, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your service, your commitment, your help, and most of all for your friendship.  While challenging, my experience as your DCM has been both rewarding and a great chance to learn and grow.  I think it could be said that at least we did no harm to AA as a whole, but we did have some great things happen on our watch.  We started some new meetings in different facilities, hosted a very successful Area Election Assembly, and put into place a fantastic Bridging-the-Gap program, and we did all this while having a good time and remaining friends through it all.  I hope the next rotation is as blessed as we have been.

Treasurer’s Report:  Income for October $0.12 versus expenses $47.40.  Total balance of accounts at end of October $1470.06.

Committee Reports:  Correctional Facilities:  We received an inquiry from drug court.  Still looking for volunteers for a Monday veterans meeting in the Rock Island Federal Building.  Treatment Facilities:  No luck so far finding used AA book donations for a program at Riverside.  Grapevine:  See Old Business for Grapevine disbursement cost estimate.    Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC):  Absent.  Public Information (PI):  Vacant.  Literature:  Vacant.  Special Needs:  I was contacted by Luke R of Kewanee requesting big books to take a weekly meeting into Royal Oaks of Kewanee, a nursing rehab center for behavioral dependency.  I we ordered 4 regular and 4 large print, with shipping and handling it would be approximately $76.  If bought from Intergroup, it would be about $80.  I would take the books to Kewanee from here.  Forest Hills meeting still on hold.  Intergroup Liaison:  Thank you to everyone who kept my family in thought and prayer during my Mom's surgical recovery.  Call counts for October:  8 12-step, 114 information, 42 visitors, 2 Alanon.  Jamie Chapman and Lisa W are getting together for an Intergroup inventory.  Lisa trained 2 new volunteers this month - Judi B and Penny S are working alternate Fridays.  Beginning now until Dec. 31st, competition for who can get the most newsletter subscriptions ($13 per year) - prize is an AA book of your choice.  Intergroup is moving!  Putting in 30 days notice November 15th.  We will need packers and drivers for the move.  Phones will transfer the same day, approximately one hour disconnection.  New address is on the 2nd floor of the Midtown Plaza building in Davenport, Main and Brady (Central Discussion building).  This will save $200 per month in rent, with no mowing and shoveling fees.

GSR Reports:  Last Chance:  Our next business meeting will be held Sunday November 20th at 12:30pm.  Meetings are going well.  Geneseo:  New GSR Larry B.  Considering Saturday night meeting, considering moving Monday evening meeting from 8 to 7.  Milan Hillcrest:  Elections were held and all positions filled, except for GSR and Alt GSR.  It's been an interesting year, hoping for more stability and better attendance looking forward.  Changes in meeting schedule, latest schedule from Intergroup is correct.

Old Business:  Discussion of details of end-of-term funds disbursement, and what to do with unused funds set aside for the East Central Regional Forum.  It was decided in September that excess funds would be distributed 50% to Intergroup and 50% to treatment and/or correction centers in the form of Grapevine subscriptions.  Terry W estimates it would cost around $116 to purchase subscriptions for these four treatment centers:  RICCA, Douglas Park, Riverside and Good Shepherd.  Decisions postponed until the January District meeting.

New Business:  Next District meeting to be held at Deerfield Family Restaurant, Silvis.  Terry W checking into the possibility of House Group hosting the January District meeting.
