DCM Report: I have the agenda items for the Winter Assembly that will be held December 12 in LaFox (Bids for the 2011 NIA Spring Conference, Bids to Host 2010 Assemblies and Committee Meetings, 2010 NIA Proposed Primary Purpose Register Basic Items, Election of Alternate Treatment Facilities Chair, Motion by CPC Committee to distribute literature to professionals’ offices, Motion Service Structure IV Committee to alter format of 2010 Winter Committee meeting, Motion by Service Structure IV Committee to permit approval of Area Committee appointments at Winter Committee meeting, Motion by Finance Committee to reimburse immediate Past Delegate for Conference of Delegates Past & Present, Motion by the Report & Charter Committee to merge “Service Structure” and “Duties & Responsibilities” documents, Motion by the Report & Charter Committee to amend documents that describe procedures for Area activities). The Big Book Conference was a good time. District 90 was well represented. Thank you to the members who spoke on the panel and to the ones who came to support. (Tammy D.)
Treasurer’s Report: Expenses for October were $0 versus revenue of $215.63. Total Balance of accounts at end of October was $2269.50. Voted to distribute uncommitted funds (above the prudent reserve) at the end of the year – 50% to Intergroup, 25% to NIA, 25% to GSO. (Terry W.)
Committee Reports:
Correctional Facilities: absent. Treatment Facilities: requested a case of Big Books to distribute at Riverside, we have these on-hand and will provide. Grapevine: no report. Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC): absent. Public Information (PI): no report. Literature: absent. Special Needs: absent. Intergroup Liaison: Newsletter Chair and District 90 Liaison positions are still open. If interested, please contact the office at 309-764-1016 or attend the next Intergroup meeting on December 7th. Intergroup is changing their e-mail address provider. The new address is illowaintergroup@yahoo.com. (Dee R.)
Geneseo Group: Henry County, Geneseo, Galesburg Primary Purpose and Maple City AFG Groups will host a speaker and dinner event on February 20, 2010 in Kewanee. Proceeds to be split between District 90 and Illowa Intergroup. District 90 voted to place the flyer in the Intergroup newsletter Dec.–Feb. at a cost of $21. (Joe R.) Our Primary Purpose Group: Elections were held October 25. (Randy F.) Last Chance Group: Great attendance, monthly potluck on 3rd Friday. (Kris O.) House Group: Elections were held, most positions filled but without alternates. 41st anniversary went well, good attendance, all cost donated by group members. Group finances are low as well as meeting attendance. Taking suggestions for Monday and Wednesday night meetings to improve, change or eliminate these. Serving breakfast Sunday mornings 7 – 9:30am, $4 donation. (Rick G.)
Old Business: Elections – Treasurer position filled by Diane M. DCM and Grapevine still open. East Central Regional Forum – 6 people attending, funds to be distributed among them. Bus trip for International Conference in 2010, discussion dropped.
New Business: Having a holiday potluck for December District meeting.
