DCM Report: At the NIA Summer Assembly in Joliet, Ray M, our Area Delegate, talked about the serious financial condition of AA as a whole. There is a continued drop in contributions and in literature sales, which will lead to even higher literature costs or cuts in service. It is now possible to contribute online at www.aa.org. Maybe we should all ask ourselves if we could do a little better than the old "one dollar in the basket." I have a letter from Ray with more details that we can take back to our groups. Grapevine continues to operate at a loss. We will be asked to fill out a survey related to the future of our meeting in print. Anyone attending the Illinois State Conference, please send your registration as they are running behind. Al-Anon has asked for fliers for their groups and we have hospitals in the Area asking for volunteers. We also discussed the importance of passing information to and from each level of AA. We need to be in contact with our counterparts in other Districts and Area. I will be unable to attend the Summer committee meeting in August, but Alt DCM Randy F will cover for me.
Treasurer’s Report: Income for June $25.09 versus expenses $105.23. Total balance of accounts at end of June $1148.37. (submitted by Jesse N)
